Eco Print Virtual Summit – October 2023

Preparations for the Eco Print Virtual Summit are well underway, and our commitment to fostering a greener print industry remains steadfast. Regardless of expertise or experience, acting for the environment is crucial, as even small efforts can make a significant impact. Our mission is to connect and educate print technology leaders and service providers, driving change and reducing environmental damage through events, content, and meaningful conversations.

During the Eco Print Virtual Summit, we'll share inspiring talks on sustainable success, highlight vital trends, and offer practical insights from experts and leading brands. The event is set to go live on the 11th and 12th of October. Pre-recording of many of the sessions will take place three weeks earlier at our LIVE studio in the Century Private Members Club in London's Shaftesbury Avenue, Soho, as we welcome 25 guest speakers from the industry on Friday 22nd September to join us in front of the 'camera'.

We have lined up an impressive array of speakers, including names such as Rachel Watkyn from the Tiny Box Company, Isabelle de Wolf representing Helloprint, Carlos Lahoz from HP, and Dr Stefan Kappaun, representing Durst. To read more about some of our speakers, please scroll down.

Isabelle de Wolfe - HelloPrint

Not long ago, Isabelle joined the print industry - to move it forward for the better. Isabelle is Sustainable Business Officer at HelloPrint, the online marketplace for customized print, which is active in 13 countries all around Europe. Being in the middle of the value chain of the print industry, she aims to collaborate with HelloPrint's partners, to achieve sustainable development and ensure our business's license to operate.

Rachel Watkyn, Tiny Box Company Ltd

Rachel spent her formative years in care after a traumatic early childhood. While working in Sierra Leone during the military coup, Rachel witnessed extreme poverty that drove her vision for a Fairtrade business. This began as a jewellery company, but her struggle to find recycled and environmentally friendly packaging sparked the idea for Tiny Box Company Ltd, to supply businesses with ethical, attractive packaging. Withstanding fire, flooding, an IT hack, Covid-19, and cancer, she has grown Tiny Box into a thriving company and is Dragon Den’s most successful female entrepreneur to date.

Rachel is a regular commentator on women’s entrepreneurship and leadership, green business practices, and sustainability.

Dr Stefan Kappaun, Durst Group AG

Stefan Kappaun acts as Executive Vice President of the Durst Group, a global technology leader in the development and manufacturing of large format inkjet printing equipment for graphics, ceramics, textiles, labels, and corrugated materials. In this position, he is member of the Executive Team of the Durst Group, Chairman of the Board of Durst’s own ink factory and Board Member of different Joint Venture companies such as Koenig Bauer Durst GmbH. His main responsibilities are the management of the ink business and various business development activities.

Stefan Kappaun studied industrial chemistry at Graz University of Technology and earned his doctoral degree prior to joining Durst in 2007. In addition to his technical background, he holds an MBA degree in General Management, is certified Business Development Manager, certified Innovation Manager and studied Management and Business at INSEAD, Stanford and Harvard Business School.

Together, let's pave the way for a more sustainable future in the print industry and work towards our shared well-defined goal.
